Celebrating Artist, Park Eul Bok’s 100th Birthday and Her Glorious Creative Journey
PARK EUL BOK EMBROIDARY MUSEUM proudly presents 2015 Special Exhibition Celebrating Artist Park Eul Bok’s 100th Birthday and HER Glorious Creative Journey.
This centenarian has worked in Embroidery profession for several decades. She opened her embroidery museum in 1995. The museum has displayed her personal collection of Oriental embroidery filled with the distinct historical, cultural, and aesthetical values as well as her personal artistic sensibilities.
To commemorate and highlight Artist Park’s Centennial Birthday, her embroidery works including the
pieces in the Congress Building’s Permanent Collection such as “Koguryo Dynasty’s Cave Relief” & Outing: Promenade Embroidery works and her many other works are displayed at the Museum showing the different historical periods, backgrounds, and her own transitions and transformations as an embroidery artist. You will be able to view, appreciate, admire, and contemplate on her creative endeavors expressed
as well as embodied through her love, passion, artistic visions and values through her activities, developments, and transitions resulted from her active involvement with the
Contemporary Embroidery in Fiber Arts in Korea and beyond.
