Fragments of surroundings

The Park Eul Bok Embroidery Museum represents ‘Fragments of surroundings’ for our Fall exhibition in 2014.
The selected artworks are fiber constructions of 5 artists who have worked in the USA, Korea, and Australia. The 5 participants, Soo Mee Kim, Ke Sook Lee, Soon Ran Youn, Jae Bum Lee, and Kyounge Ae Cho have been working on experimental and creative expressions in various manners, not staying in the conventional boundaries of art materials and processes.

It is also an opportunity to appreciate the wide ranges of fiber art from 2D and relief to 3D artworks that carry out formal and substantial qualities for their subject matters.
Upon their creative viewing, we wish to hold viewer’s appreciating glances together so as to expand abundant stories in visual art at our museum.
